Photography Teacher  District Digital Marketing

I taught in the Newport High School from 1989-2013 then at Hot Springs High School from 2013-2016.

I have taught: Journalism, Oral Communications, EAST, Theatre, College and Career Tech in high school.

I taught Photography and Oral Communications for ASU Jonesboro.

I worked as a freelance reporter for the Jonesboro Sun for fifteen years, covering the Northeast Arkansas area.

I have one son, Nick who lives and works in Northeast Arkansas.

I have two dogs, Sadie- a carian terrier, and Bentley – a Yorkie.  

My name is Judy Beard and I am excited to be a part of the MHS staff.  I have been teaching for 33 years having spent 25 years at Newport High School and three at High Springs High School and am in my fifth at Malvern HIgh School. Igraduated from Lyon College with a BA in Media Arts, and have Master’s degrees from Arkansas State University in Educational Theory and Practice and Gifted and Talented Education.  I am certified to teach Photography, Media/Film, Journalism, Oral Communications, EAST, and Theatre.  I have one son, Nick, who lives in Newport.  I love working with the students of the Malvern School DIstrict.
