Malvern High School will offer the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT) to juniors on October 16.  Interested juniors may sign up in the Malvern High School guidance office by Wednesday, September 21.  The exam fee is $15 and must be paid to Mrs. Owens in the main office.  This fee will be waived for the top 5% of juniors.  This test is optional and is recommended for the top 5% of juniors based on grade point average.

October:  ASVAB
Malvern High School will offer the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) to juniors and seniors on October 1st. By taking the ASVAB, students grant permission for the armed forces to contact them for recruitment purposes but it does not require them to join. This test is required for students who plan to enter the armed services after graduation, but it is optional for all other juniors and seniors.

March :  Free ACT for Juniors
Malvern High School will give the free ACT for juniors on March 17, 18, and 19.  This four-hour online exam will assess students in English, reading, mathematics, and science.  Students may use the score from this exam to apply for colleges and scholarships.  Students who earn a 19 on the ACT will automatically qualify for the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship.  The free ACT has replaced the PARCC exam for juniors.  This test is optional and is recommended for all college-bound juniors.

April 2021 (Exact dates to be determined):  ACT Aspire for Freshmen and Sophomores
Malvern High School will give the ACT Aspire exam in April 2020.  This exam will assess students in English, reading, writing, mathematics, and science to determine if students are on track to be college and career ready.  This test is required for all freshmen and sophomores except for self-contained IEP students.
