Concurrent Enrollment

Dual Enrollment Accelerated Learning (DEAL)

In 2012, Malvern High School and College of the Ouachitas (now ASU Three Rivers) struck a "deal" to begin offering tuition-free concurrent college-level courses to MHS seniors.  This program is jointly referred to as the "DEAL Program."  In this program, students who have met or exceeded college readiness test scores prior to the beginning of their senior year may opt to take semester courses on the ASU Three Rivers Campus.

Students must have minimum ACT subscores (or Accuplacer Equivalent) of 19 in Reading and English to be accepted into the program, regardless of the coursework they choose to take.  Students who wish to take College Algebra must have a minimum ACT subscore (or Accuplacer Equivalent) of 21 in Mathematics.  A comparable Accuplacer test score may substitute for the ACT scores.

Interested students may visit with John Jackson to determine eligibility.
